How to Put Credit on Your Nook

When you initially register your Nook, you must set up an account online with Barnes & Noble, which allows you to manage the payment methods you use to download Nook content. You can add multiple payment methods, including major credit cards, Microsoft account information or Barnes & Noble gift cards. Once you add one or more payment method, any purchases you make on your Nook are charged to the option you selected as your default




Instructions

1. Go to the Barnes & Noble account website (see Resources) and click "Sign In." Enter the email address and password associated with your account and click "Secure Sign In."

2. Point to "My Account" on the menu bar and select "Manage Account." Click the "Add a New Payment Method" link in the Payment Methods section.

3. Choose "Credit Card" and enter your card number and expiration date. Type in your billing information and click "Save."

4. Return to "My Account" and click "Manage Default Payment." Select the credit account you want to use as your default payment method.

Tips & Warnings

Barnes & Noble gift cards listed on your account are applied to any Nook purchases first, even if you have a credit card listed as your default payment method.
